Environmental concerns are important and the painting industry has responded to this and as an industry are working to reduce the impact we have on the environment.
There is now a range of quality paints available to help minimise these issues.  These paints are also great if you have a sensitivity to strong odours or have allergic conditions or asthma.

Did you know...

- Paint contains solvents and metals that can

contaminate ground water and endanger human health

 - Solvent based paints are flammable and

shouldn't be disposed of in household garbage bins

- Low VOC paints are lower in Volatile Organic Compounds

and create less emissions and less odour 
 
- There are quality low VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) and

Carbon Neutral paints available

 

 Environmentally responsible paint wash up...

We use a Dulux Envirowash Unit, where possible, which is a specialised unit that holds, treats and filters paint wash up water.  This leaves us with clear filtered water and solid paint waste, allowing for safe disposal.  It also means no paint residue on your lawn! 

We also use Dulux Waste Paint Hardener which is added to any waste paint, allowing it to harden and be disposed of safely. 

Then the empty tins are reused or recycled.
